TAMARA GREGORY

Head of Television

Wilmore Films

Tamara Gregory is an industry veteran who still gets excited by the first word of any good story. She has thrived in just about every facet of the entertainment industry and is a rare executive with
corporate, indie, film, television, scripted, unscripted, on-air, branded content, publishing, and digital media experience.

Currently, Gregory is the Head of Television for Wilmore Films, operating under a multi-year development deal at NBC-Uni. She and Larry are seeking smart, daring, character forward content
that is both grounded and dangerously funny.

Previously, Gregory provided consulting services for several entertainment entities, developing and curating both branded and narrative content across a variety of platforms. She most recently Executive Produced, WOMAN IN MOTION, a documentary that traces the drive – led by Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura in “Star Trek”- to recruit women and POC to join NASA’s elite Space Shuttle Program. The film recently sold to Shout Factory and is slated for a late fall release. Producing has always been Gregory's first love, and she is always in pursuit of projects and working with creatives that challenge industry norms while uniquely showcasing all kinds of human experiences.

Throughout the years, Gregory has developed and produced content with and for Tiffany Haddish, Magic Johnson, Reggie and Gina Bythewood, and Regina King. She has been a valued Executive at Walt Disney Studios and Viacom Networks. She was instrumental in helping to successfully launch BET Networks into the scripted arena. During her tenure, she was fortunate enough to work on half-hour, hour, mini-series, MOWs, and even theatrically released content.

When she isn’t actively helping writers and directors achieve their creative pursuits, she taps into her own storytelling skills. She penned a wonderfully original and witty novel (at least that is what the reviews said), PASSPORT DIARIES, that quickly became an LA TIMES bestseller. Published by Harper Collins, the novel was optioned by Paramount Pictures, who hired Gregory to adapt the
screenplay, which enabled her to become a proud member of the Writer’s Guild of America. She is currently in active development of a Christmas romantic comedy, called LAX-MAS, that she was
inspired to write during the recent pandemic.

Her writing experience makes her uniquely well suited to work with all creative types —because she is one.
